I OPEN CLIMBING NIGHT (Light Holds)
The effect of light on the climbing holds is diverse. The CIM Centre d'Initiative de Muntanya in Lliçà de Vall (Barcelona) knows it well and have organized a good Climbing Open to show it. Speed, boulder, music, slackline, trempacaixes and lots of fun came to mingle with people having fun and climbing in darkness in the I OPEN CLIMBING NIGHT (Light Holds).
The functionality of light in these innovative climbing holds were blended with the RAM Climbing Wall transformation to offer nine climbing blocks which were prepared for the occasion.
An effect innovative, functional and spectacular!
9b+ NIEVEMONT, SNOW AND MOUNTAIN R+D+i FAIR
The Huesca Trade Fair Institution hold the FIRST SNOW AND MOUNTAIN R+D+i FAIR the past 5th, 6th and 7th November 2010, a pioneering fair in the world. Involved the creation of a meeting place for research, development and innovation, an international reference for the sectors related to the mountain, which made available to the general public the supply offered in the entire field through exhibitions and activities (+ info click link).
Along with various organizations and professionals in the mountain participating in the fair, we were present to share our experience.
The event also featured a RAM Climbing Wall, and anyone who wanted it could "stretch their arms climbing for a while" over the course of the fair.
Furthermore, with the Huesca Trade Fair Institution, Huesca capital hosted the FIRST MEETING OF CLIMBING HUESCA CITY, with a RAM Climbing Wall, which was attended by the Spanish climber Dani Moreno, Spain Sub-Champion 2010.
6th Open Bloc Fess-tival 2010
Several competitions were simultaneously celebrated such as the 1st Bouldering Scolar Open, the University Championship of Catalonia and the 2nd round of Catalonia’s Cup.
9bmas contributed with a RAM Climbing Wall specially designed for this event.
The specific Prize “Climbing Hands Off” was celebrated on RAM structure allowing participants to improve climbing tecniques in order to perform lower extremity strenght.
During this prize RAM strucutre changed the type and number of climbing holds on the wall from simple to more rigorous climbing routes.
Prize was awarded to Savina Rodriguez and German Acosta in women and men’s category and it was distributed by Fess La Salle, Gibbon Slacklines and RAM Climbing Walls.
Jesus Calleja and Pablo Motos with RAM
On the television program "El Hormiguero", well-known Spanish climber Jesus Calleja gives climbing tips to the program’s host, Pablo Motos. As they climb together, RAM changes form to offer the two men two different climbing grades of varying difficulty.
Prizes García Cabrerizo Foundation, CSIC and OEPM
The García Cobrerizo Foundation presents 9b+ the award for the best best Spanish invention. Assisting in the ceremony are Professor Doña Rosa Menéndez López, CSIC’s Senior Vice-President for Scientific and Technical Research, and Alberto Casado Cerviño, the Director General of the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office.
Geneva Awards Prizes to Spanish Engineering
9b+ won a gold medal and a special jury mention at the 36th International Exposition of Inventions, New Techniques, and Products of Geneva in 2008 (Palexpo), the largest event of its type in the world, with over 70,000 visitors and more than one thousand inventions entered in the event. We were also awarded the García Cabrerizo Prize from the Spanish delegation.
